LePAWS Studio Training for Dogs
LePaws Studio Training offers you, a dog lover, the opportunity to learn animal training techinques that the animal industry has up to now kept a secret from the public. Many books are published on puppy training, obedience training, behavior training and agility training, but few publications discuss how to train your own dog to perform "on set" as an animal actor. In 2005, LePAWS was started to offer Studio dog training, by animal trainers, for the public. Their trainers began working with privately owned dogs in order to train these dogs in the same capacity that ranch owned dogs were receiving. In this way you own dog would be prepared to work in entertainment and compete with ranch owned dogs. LePAWS training began working with privately owned dogs in order to open up a new market for production to choose a dog to work with. The owners of LePAWS, Stuart Kinzey and Michelle Zahn, realized there were many wonderful dogs living with love at home that would be good candidates for production work. The humane society has often commented on set that LePAWS dogs seem happy and more a live than their ranch owned counterparts. Michelle often commented; "keep lions, tigers and even farm animals in a cage on a ranch, but a dog needs and deserves a loving place to live at home and still be allowed to work for his own keep."
Smile, hold that lookPrint work remains one of favorites of all dog owners, we encourage you to spend time with your dog, set them in position, take their photos, dress them up in outfit after outfit. LePAWS trainers can help you with basics like sit and stay, stand stay, head up and focus; all of these commands allow you the photographer the opportunity to capture that perfect shot.
